As PGA Türkiye, we are delighted to announce the successful completion of the 2nd PGA Türkiye Championship and our Annual General Assembly, held on 16–17 June 2026 at Kaya Palazzo Golf Club.
Bringing together Turkey’s golf professionals, our event represented not only a highly competitive championship but also a strong demonstration of unity, solidarity, and professional collaboration within the Turkish golf community. We sincerely thank all professional golfers, coaches, and members who participated. The spirit of sportsmanship, friendship, and competition displayed throughout the tournament once again highlighted the strength of the PGA Türkiye family.
Following two exciting days of competition, Ediz Kemaloğlu claimed the title of 2nd PGA Türkiye Champion with an impressive total score of -8. Taner Yamaç and Mutlu Güner both finished at -6, with Taner Yamaç securing second place after winning the playoff. Mutlu Güner finished third, while Yılmaz Batan placed fourth.
Based on the championship results, Ediz Kemaloğlu and Taner Yamaç earned the right to represent Türkiye at the Beko Pro-Am. Mutlu Güner and Yılmaz Batan also qualified to represent PGA Türkiye at the PGA Alliance Championship, which will be held in November, proudly representing our country on the international stage.
In the Silver Tour category, Şehmus Ertaş finished first, followed by Mustafa Şahin in second, Fırat Turku in third, Devrim Doğan in fourth, and Umut Öztürk in fifth place. As a result of these performances, all five players earned promotion to compete in the Gold Tour category at next year’s PGA Türkiye Championship.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Turkish Golf Federation, our sponsors, referees, tournament staff, and the entire Kaya Palazzo Golf Club team for their invaluable support in making this championship possible. We would also like to extend our special thanks to Mr. Kıvanç Korkmaz, Club Manager, for his outstanding hospitality and contribution to the success of the event.
As part of the tournament programme, PGA Türkiye also held its Annual General Assembly, during which activity and audit reports were reviewed, financial statements were approved, and the new governing bodies of the association were elected.
Following the General Assembly, the members elected Sezgin Ceylan, Mehmet Ceylan, Savaş Karataş, Cahit Kaya, Erkan Demirci, and Ufuk Birdal Alvaç to the Board of Directors, while Erol Şimşek, Abdurrahman Özyürek, and Ulaş Karataş were elected to the Board of Auditors.
Under the leadership of President Sezgin Ceylan, the newly elected Board of Directors aims to expand PGA education programmes, further develop tournament organisations, and implement new initiatives that will contribute to the professional development of Turkish golf professionals. In line with these objectives, the first educational programme of the new term is planned for November 2026.
At PGA Türkiye, our primary mission is to unite Turkey’s golf professionals under a stronger organisation, strengthen cooperation among our members, and contribute to the growth and international recognition of Turkish golf.
We would like to thank all our members who participated in and supported both the Championship and the Annual General Assembly. We wish the newly elected Board every success and look forward to another productive chapter for the PGA Türkiye family and Turkish golf.
